How the days are counted
- Calendar days: every day in the period, weekends included.
- Weekdays: Monday to Friday only, the usual basis for business days.
- Last day: uncheck “Include the last day” to count the gap between two dates (for example, from the 1st to the 3rd = 2 days).
Public holidays are not deducted, since they vary by country. Subtract any that fall on a weekday if they are days off for you.
Frequently asked questions
What counts as a weekday?
Here, weekdays are Monday to Friday. Saturdays and Sundays are counted as weekend days.
Are public holidays taken into account?
No. Public holidays differ from one country (and sometimes one region) to another, so this tool does not deduct them. If your period includes holidays that are days off for you, subtract them from the number of weekdays.
Is the last day counted?
You choose, with the “Include the last day” box. For a vacation from Monday to Friday, check it.
